Not only did she play exactly what we wanted to hear, but she also did an amazing job reading the crowd and keeping the dance floor hopping! We especially appreciated Heather’s attention to detail and the little things we hadn’t even thought of, such as keeping the event on schedule and providing guests with a handout outlining the special moments throughout the evening so they knew what they wouldn’t want to miss. Weeks later people still rave about how good the music was at our wedding. We initially chose HD because we wanted an all female team and they were knowledgeable and friendly. The HD team went above and beyond to make our music planning as simple as possible and went out of their way to find specific songs and remixes for us. We were able to pick specific songs, but also tell them our vibe, and have them plan music around that. I cannot recommend the HD team more. We hired this company with high expectations after signing a contract after having a phone conversation that specified a DJ whose experience and style aligned with the vision of our wedding, and were told that she was available and would be playing our wedding. Two days before our event, we were informed, without prior discussion or apology, that we had been assigned a completely different DJ. Unfortunately, the replacement lacked both the professionalism and experience we expected, and the impact on our wedding night was deeply disappointing. Despite providing a detailed list of artists and songs that reflected our vibe, including modern pop like Chappell Roan, and specifically requesting an energetic, party atmosphere, the DJ repeatedly played music that did not match our preferences such as Pink and Kelly Clarkson ballads. We ultimately had to create a playlist during our own reception just to keep guests on the dance floor, which is the last thing any couple should be doing on their wedding night. The professionalism issues extended beyond music. The DJ arrived dressed in sweatpants and a hoodie to a formal event, helped herself to food before any guests were served, and worst of all, mispronounced our last name during our grand entrance. That moment is captured in our wedding video and permanently changed what was meant to be our very first introduction as a married couple. After the wedding, we attempted to address these concerns directly with the owner. Rather than offering an apology or any accountability, we were met with dismissiveness and even an unfounded accusation that we had damaged their equipment, something we were able to disprove with multiple videos. No responsibility was taken, and there was no acknowledgment of how these failures affected our once-in-a-lifetime event. We chose to invest more than the average cost of a DJ for what we believed would be a premium, professional service. Instead, we were left with a night that fell far below expectations, and memories that cannot be redone. She was courteous and professional, and easily reachable with our questions and concerns leading up to the wedding - Heather even expressed a willingness to help us with planning or other recommendations if needed, which we truly appreciated! The day of, everything proceeded exactly as we'd hoped, and everyone had a wonderful time during the reception as well. We cannot recommend them enough!
