Do you have questions?

As experienced Lancaster wedding DJs, we’ve answered hundreds! To get you started, here are a few we frequently hear.

Look to budget $1200 – $2500 for a 4-5 hour reception. DJ packages may also include lighting, a photo booth, and special effects. And experience makes a difference. Seasoned wedding and event DJs will charge more than a newcomer working on the weekends.

See our reviews on WeddingWire and  The Knot.

Read reviews and check out social media to get a feel for personality. Ask recently married couples about their experiences. Make sure the DJ fits your budget and is available. Then have a conversation to see if that DJ gets your wedding day vision.
Your DJ announces the wedding party entrance, including honored guests, as well as the couple. Other important announcements include the first dances, dinner service, introduction to toasts, opening the dance floor, cake cutting, any games, and the departure.

In addition to Lancaster, HD Entertainment provides DJ services for weddings and events in Gettysburg, Harrisburg, York, Adams, and Hanover counties as well as other parts of South Central Pennsylvania.

Help your guests experience Lancaster

While your wedding day is the main event, your guests will want to spend some of their free time exploring the Lancaster, PA area. Here are some top attractions, things to do, and more.

The Log Cabin: This fine dining restaurant, only 20 minutes from downtown Lancaster, got its start as a speakeasy during Prohibition. Live music every Friday and Saturday night. The Log Cabin has 12 dining rooms, each one distinct in style, size, and artwork.

Citronelle: Enjoy modern French cuisine either indoors or on the in-season patio. Locally sourced, seasonal ingredients always anchor the offerings. And the French menu is influenced by flavors from around the world.

John J. Jeffries:  This Lancaster eatery also pays homage to fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Chefs Cavanaugh and Carson thoughtfully and creatively prepare a menu of grass-fed meats and organic produce from nearby farms.

Dutch Apple Dinner Theater: Over 150,000 guests enjoy dinner and a show annually at this Lancaster institution. Lunch matinee and dinner showtimes.

Lancaster Ghost Tours: Discover by candlelight long-forgotten mysteries in one of America’s oldest towns. Experience 300 years of “Red Rose City” history.

Fulton Theatre: This regional theater produces an incredible mix of comedies, musicals, and dramas. Built-in 1852 on the site of a pre-Revolutionary War jail, the hall was built by Lancaster merchant Christopher Hager as a place for community gatherings.

Family Farm Quilts: Central PA is synonymous with patchwork quilts. 20 minutes from Lancaster you’ll find these artistic tapestries created by the Amish and Mennonite communities. Enjoy and appreciate the craftsmanship, and warmth, of these beautiful quilts.

The Comic Store: This downtown gem is one of the oldest comic specialty stores in America, opening in 1977 – the same year Star Wars was released. New and classic comic books, graphic novels, games, cards, and miniatures.

Bird-in-Hand Artisan Store: Just 15 minutes from downtown Lancaster you’ll find an artisan collection of handcrafted furniture, artwork, local foods, and more. “Meet the Maker” days give shoppers an opportunity to watch artisans at work and connect directly.

Lancaster Central Market: Established in 1730, this is the oldest, publicly owned farmers market in America. Enjoy the combination of history and modern vibrancy of this downtown market.

Amish Farm and House: Take a break from modern life with a guided farmhouse tour and a greater understanding of Central PA’s Amish community. Enjoy the farm’s fresh air while you feed the animals. Converse with local artisans and enjoy a stroll over the covered bridge.
